The people of Pakistan face constant turmoil as radical Islamists, militants and moderates battle for the soul of the country. At the center of this storm is President Pervez Musharraf. By declaring martial law, clamping down on free speech and undermining the courts, Musharraf has held onto power. Still, the future of this nuclear-armed power is a question mark.
